An increased awareness of our wellbeing is something most of us can’t ignore; an emphasis on nutrition, exercise, mental health and stress management are all hot topics, and have been for some time. While taking these things into consideration on a day-to-day basis might be somewhat new to adult generations, we have an opportunity to introduce our children to an awareness of their wellbeing too.
When we think back to our childhoods, kicking a ball around, getting involved in a spot of summer rounders, or shooting some hoops at lunchtime feels like a rite of passage. But why is sport so vital in those formative years?
As a parent or guardian, a headache that comes with the regular school breaks is the childcare quandary. Whilst we’re all keen for our children to rest, recharge and have fun in between their busy school terms, taking time off work isn’t always an option. This leaves a scramble for daily activities that tick all the boxes without using up annual leave.
The prospect of day camp is an exciting one for your child - there are hours of fun activities, experiences and play ahead of them. As a parent you know that preparation is the most important part of a calm, smooth and comfortable day - but what do you pack for a child’s day at camp?!
As sad as it makes us to say… that’s a wrap on summer 2023! But oh, what a summer we’ve had. We’ve seen so many fantastic activities producing smiles all the way through the school holidays, with new skills learned, new activities tried, and new friends made, we’ve really done it all this year.
