Top five reasons to send your child to a day camp this summer
School’s out, the sun is shining, and you’re looking for activities for your children to do over the summer holidays. Why not book a day camp, where they can play with other children, make new friends and get stuck into new activities? With tailored programmes to suit 3-16 year olds and a great childcare solution for you during the school holidays, here are just some of the reasons why day camps are perfect for your child.
1. They will have an adventure
Many children are adventurous at heart, and we believe in nurturing their brave and bold side. Activities such as archery, quad biking and the slip ‘n’ slide (amongst others) are popular options for these young adventurers, and are great for confidence building.
2. Keeping active
Managing screen time with children is a challenge for any parent. Rest assured a day camp would keep your child entertained whilst also keeping them active and healthy. We have a huge variety of sports to get involved in and to try out for the first time. For the younger ones, we have fun sports such as ‘capture the flag’, softball and ‘kwik cricket’, amongst others; while the older groups can get in touch with their competitive side doing table tennis, rounders, fencing and more. These sports are not only great for keeping active, but will improve team building and leadership skills, and they will no doubt develop friendships from their games!
3. The chance to play
At Camp Beaumont, we love to have playtime. We certainly know that the younger groups in particular enjoy fun games and activities and in particular bouncy castles, messy play, teddy bears picnics, face paints and more! Other age groups also have the chance to enjoy trampolines and parachute games.
4. Getting creative
Creativity is something else we love to bring out in our guests, giving them a chance to bring ideas to life or to make something to take home with them. Day camps create an environment where children can broaden their imaginations, either through craft activities such as mask making and mosaics, or through talent shows for those stars in the making.
5. Try new things
Multi-activity camps expose children to new activities and experiences that they may not be familiar with - which is what makes it all the more exciting. The whole experience can be tailored with a specialist upgrade to nurture your child’s individual and growing interests. Our team is highly experienced in childcare, and make sure that each child is looked after, helping them to push their boundaries and to do as much as possible to get the best out of the activities on offer.
Looking for something even more exciting? We have specialist holiday options for certain camps to take your child’s experience to another amazing level. Learn to swim, ride a horse, learn tennis or soccer skills – whatever your child is interested in we’re sure we will have something they would love to add to their Camp Beaumont experience.
