Camp Beaumont pioneered American-style summer camps in the UK – and Dukeshouse Wood offers the original adventure experience, enhanced by a multi-million pound investment programme to keep things bang up-to-date.
The camp
Dukeshouse Wood is set on a beautiful fellside in Hexham, in Northumberland. The camp sleeps 250 children, housed in recently-refurbished comfortable lodges, with separate buildings for boys and girls and dorms split according to age. Each dormitory has en-suite facilities. We’ve also built a brand new 8,000 sq ft all-weather activity barn.
Campers enjoy a choice of hot and cold meals, cooked on the premises and served in our newly-decorated dining hall.
The site is fully secure with fencing, electronic security gates and CCTV around the camp.
The activities
Your child can choose from a wealth of exciting activities like archery, outdoor laser and quad bikes, get the adrenaline pumping with our double 3G swing and Jacob’s ladder, and enjoy after-dark adventures in the Twilight Zone with our carnival week, medieval banquet or drum jam.
