What's it like for a first-time camper?Over the years we have discovered that the way for a camper to make a smooth transition to life away from home is by being busy from morning until night - with a programme that is dynamic, engrossing and loads of fun. That’s why we offer a huge range of daily activities, evening entertainment and special events especially designed for each age range. Simply put, we do not take for granted new camper adjustment. We do what it takes to make the first-time camper’s experience an easy and fun-filled life adventure! When is the right age to enrol my child?Only the parent truly knows the right time for their children. However, in our experience, the younger the child, the easier the transition. Our programmes are designed for children and youngsters from 7-17 years. Basically, all we expect is that campers arrive with a positive attitude (we do the rest), ready to make new friends and learn new skills! We will be waiting for them with open arms, fun activities and good food! We will do everything we can to ensure that our campers have the best holiday possible making new friends, learning new skills and building memories that they will always cherish. Which camp will suit my child the best?Every camp has its own character and personality. Beaumont High is quieter and compact making it ideal for younger visitors, Pinewood Sands is a larger campus, right up on the coast with a real buzz to it and ideal for children up to 14 years. The Island is our specialist watersports camp, set in over 100 acres with also an exciting range of other activities, making it perfect for everyone. The House! at majestic Overstrand Hall in Norfolk caters exclusively for 15-17 year olds with a programme aimed at older teenagers but with the reassurance of all the safety and supervision of Camp Beaumont. Colomendy Valley takes adventure to the extreme, set in a beautiful Welsh Valley with some of Europe’s best adventure activity facilities. Dukeshouse Wood is the perfect camp to experience the outdoors, with some quirky and exciting excursions, including a great Scottish experience. Whichever camp children choose, your child is bound to have a fantastic week! We always recommend that guests who are staying more than two weeks consider spending the latter part of their stay making friends and taking part in new activities at another camp. Variety really is the spice of life! |
