Our staff make a Camp Beaumont holiday extra special, creating a safe, secure and happy environment that will make your child’s holiday complete.

We search high and low to find the best possible people – the ones whose enthusiasm and commitment shines through.

Many of our staff came to Camp Beaumont themselves as children, so they know exactly what it takes to make a really special environment, just like the one they enjoyed.

All staff

Everyone who works on our camps holds an up-to-date enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check – including catering, security, maintenance and office staff. Each camp has a dedicated centre manager and camp director plus a dedicated, fully-trained first-aider on site. During the night, a duty manager remains available at all times. We choose our people for their passion as well as their experience and we believe this approach makes Camp Beaumont extra special. So give our friendly customer service team a call today to find out more.

Group Leaders and House Reps

From the moment your child arrives at camp, they’ll be looked after by their own Group Leader (GL). GLs are there from dawn until dusk and are like a big brother or sister – approachable, friendly and fun, with the answers to any questions campers may have. At The House! for older teens, we have House Reps instead of Group Leaders. Cool and crazy, they’re great at getting everyone involved but know exactly when to give campers the space they need.

Activity Instructors

All of our activity instructors are fully-trained to the highest standards, receiving ongoing updates on health and safety, first-aid and welfare. All are internally and externally assessed on a regular basis to make sure our standards never slip.

Staff training

All of our staff undergo a comprehensive two-week induction programme that includes NSPCC safeguarding children training, Health and Safety qualifications and practical training on teaching young people. They also receive comprehensive coaching on our adventure activities – some are taught in-house, others by external experts, while others require our team to gain a National Governing Body award before they can teach children. Most of our instructors complete a one-year apprenticeship scheme while they’re with us, training while working and constantly improving the service we deliver.

24-hour welfare

We work with the NSPCC to make sure we adhere to current best practice at all times. There’s an NSPCC-trained Safeguarding Children Officer available at each centre, as well as 24-hour first aid cover.
